A Academia Gravação Americana anunciou nesta sexta-feira (08) os indicados ao Grammy 2025. Anitta é o único nome brasileiro nas lista de indicações e concorre a Melhor Álbum de Pop Latino com Funk Generation. A premiação do Grammy está prevista para o dia 02 de fevereiro de 2025, em Los Angeles.
Entre os nomes revelados pela academia estão alguns dos lançamentos mais populares do ano, como o Brat, de Charli XCX, que colocou o nome da cantora inglesa em nove categorias diferentes: Álbum do Ano, Música do Ano, Gravação do Ano, Melhor Performance Pop Solo, Melhor Performance Pop em Duo ou Grupo, Melhor Gravação Pop Dance, Melhor álbum dance/eletrônica, Melhor Videoclipe, Melhor Pacote de Gravação e Melhor Gravação Remixada.
Os outros nomes concorrendo para Álbum do Ano, categoria mais importante da premiação, são André 3000 (New Blue Sun), Kendrick Lamar (Not Like Us), o britânico Jacob Collier (Djesse Vol.4), as estreantes na premiação Chappell Roan (The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess) e Sabrina Carpenter (Short n’ Sweet) e as veteranas Taylor Swift (The Tortured Poets Department), Billie Eilish (Hit Me Hard and Soft) e Beyoncé (Cowboy Carter), que quebrou o recorde de Thriller, de Michael Jackson, e tem o álbum mais indicado na história da premiação.
