Brasileiros Fido Nesti e Mike Deodato vencem o Prêmio Eisner

Nesti ganhou como melhor adaptação por 1984, baseado na obra de George Orwell e Deodato ganhou por Nem Todo Robô, sua parceria com o norte-americano Mark Russell

Dois quadrinistas brasileiros venceram o Eisner Awards neste sábado (23), Fido Nesti, como melhor quadrinho adaptado e Mike Deodato, que levou na categoria de melhor quadrinho de humor. O Eisner Awards é o prêmio mais importante da indústria de quadrinhos dos EUA. A entrega dos prêmios aconteceu na madrugada deste sábado (23) na San Diego Comic Con (SDCC), nos EUA.

O quadrinista brasileiro Fido Nesti venceu o Prêmio Eisner na categoria de melhor adaptação por 1984, baseado na obra homônima de George Orwell. O livro saiu no Brasil pela Companhia das Letras, no ano passado. Fizemos uma crítica da obra e a HQ entrou na nossa lista de Melhores Quadrinhos de 2020. Já o paraibano Mike Deodato venceu na categoria de melhor publicação de humor por Nem Todo Robô (Comix Zone), em parceria com o norte-americano Mark Russell.

A obra mais premiada foi Monstros, de Barry Windsor-Smith, que venceu como melhor letrista, melhor roteirista/artista e melhor novo álbum gráfico. A HQ sairá em setembro no Brasil pela editora Todavia.

A melhor série regular foi Bitter Robot, de David F. Walker, Chuck Brown, e Sanford Greene (Image, inédita no Brasil) e Something Is Killing the Children – Alguma Coisa Está Matando As Crianças, de James Tynion IV e Werther Dell’Edera (que sai aqui pela Devir). A melhor nova série foi para The Nice House on the Lake, por James Tynion IV e Álvaro Martínez Bueno (DC Black Label).
